Israeli settlers threw petrol bombs into the home of 18-month-old Ali Dawabsha in the village of Duma in the occupied West Bank district of Nablus.
The attack resulted in the deaths of Ali, his mother and father, Riham and Sa’ad Dawabsha.
The only survivor was five-year-old Ahmed Dawabsha, who suffered burns to over 60 percent of his body and who after a year of hospitalisation is now living with his grandfather.
Attacks by settlers are often carried out under the armed protection of Israeli occupation forces who rarely make efforts to protect Palestinians from such attacks. Over 500,000 Israelis live in Jewish-only settlements across occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank in violation of international law.
